FISHING

The lake, "Lac de castelnau-Lassouts" with it's size of 268 hectares and with a maximum depth of 32 metres is because of it's size one of the biggest lakes in the beautifull Aveyron district. Around the lake there are rather steep banks witch are overgrown with fruit trees , grass and blackberry bushes. The rest and calmness over the lake is unbelievable.

THERE ARE SOME HUGE CARPERS IN THE LAKE , THE RECORD IS APROX. 55 POND.

PERFECT PLACES FOR FISHING ARE ALAUZET,  PONT DE LOIS AND AT THE OLD FACTORY IN CABANAC.

A BOAT IS RECOMMEND OTHERWISE SOME PLACES ARE NOT ATTAINABLE.

Fish Talk:

Because of the big amount of carper in the lake, it can be very busy at the lake.
Every year there are enduro's organised (september), when these enduro's take place it's for outstanders not possible to fish.
It's highly recommend to use a boat because a lot of beat are hard to reach by car (Alauzet is reachable without problems , with a car).
Don't go and fish at a nightfish beat in the daytime. Try to leave those places especially for the night.You won't get borred overday there is plenty to see in the daytime.
When you are fishing from a boat it's GREAT to see the fish fight over the bait at 2 meters of depth.Local French fisherman are feeding the fish on forhand, keep this in mind for yourself.
